Our 2018 Meatless Monday campaign is now the subject of a scholarly journal article! Bedford 2030 engaged 360 households, 40 restaurant and health and wellness partners, and others to give up meat at least one day a week for 12 weeks. 100 participants were surveyed before, during, and after by The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and The Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future.
Bedford 2030 co-wrote a journal article with them about community campaigns to reduce meat consumption to protect health and the environment. It has been published in the Food Systems Journal. Now other towns and cities can follow our lead!
Thank you to everyone who made this project possible and successful! Check out this page on our website to learn more about eating less or eating better meat. The Meatless Monday campaign may be over, but adjusting your eating habits is always a great step to take climate action at home!
