LEADERSHIP + INNOVATION
High School Contest to Catalyze Change
Since 2015, over 500 students from 15 different Westchester high schools and community groups have been inspired to take action in their communities with support from the Greenlight Award Program.
Here’s how it works:
- Step 1: Fill out the Interest Form to access the first part of the Toolkit information. Find a team if desired; Brainstorm idea(s)
- Step 2: Register your Project/Team by October 30, to formally enter the program
- Step 3: In December: Pitch a Big Green Idea in December: Greenlight Award contestants create a proposal, and pitch a big green advocacy or innovation idea to address climate change.
- Step 4: Greenlight Go! The best ideas receive funding and support to help our community reach its climate action goals through your project implementation.
- Step 5: In the Spring: Showcase Impact: Students showcase their results and compete to win the Greenlight Award™ and $500 cash.
