Bedford 2030 could not accomplish nearly as much as we do without the help of dedicated volunteers who are committed to making the world a better place, one action at a time.
Here are a few examples of how our volunteers advance climate action.
The TIOLI Shed reduces waste and saves residents money by accepting donations of office ware, school supplies, toys, puzzles, crafts, small appliances and electronics, home decor, lamps, tools and small hardware, plants, seeds etc..
The Volunteers help accept donations, divert larger donations to other local non-profits, and take un-adopted items to the recycling center at the end of each shift.
The TIOLI shed could not run EVERY SATURDAY from May 15, 2023- October without our amazing volunteers.

Besides our TIOLI volunteers combatting waste, our Waste Warriors advocate for waste reduction at events, through legislation, and in personal action.
We are recruiting individuals and groups to help us as we expand this initiative. You do not need experience but must be willing to support our actions throughout the year in various ways. For example, we are partnering with The Town and Pound Ridge’s Earth Day Everyday to “green” our community events through improved waste planning and management.
Our annual Earth Day Festival is a great example of a Bedford 2030 + Healthy Yards event which brings the community together for sustainability tips, family activities, live music and a shared commitment to protect our earth!
We hope to see you on May 7th from noon-3pm at the Bedford Hills Train Station. Bring your family and friends for the fun, and WE COULD USE YOUR HELP AS A VOLUNTEER!
