Amie has a background as a professional violinist and as a fundraiser for a non-profit organization she founded to support her chamber music concert series in New York City. In addition to performing, she developed programs, built an enthusiastic audience base, and wrote successful grant applications from city and state arts agencies. Amie has an honors undergraduate degree from Swarthmore College and masters and doctoral degrees in music. She was based in Europe for several years as a touring musician.

Realizing the critical state of climate change, she decided to make a career change to help mitigate global warming. She serves on the board of The Climate Consensus and is thrilled to be working with such an effective team at Bedford 2030!
