Join Healthy Yards and Bedford 2030 on October 22 for the annual seed swap- this year, at the Bedford Hills Community House!
Native plants are key to creating a climate-smart yard! They have adapted to local conditions over thousands of years and can thrive without the pesticides, fertilizers and extra water non-native plants often require. Native plants also support biodiversity by providing food and habitat for multiple species.
Come to the seed swap to give and get native seeds – and learn how you can create a healthier, more sustainable yard.
We will accept all straight native plant species for donation. Seeds need to be cleaned and labeled properly with common and Latin name. Not sure if your plant is native? Use the USDA Plant Database.
No seeds? No worries; we have free seeds for newcomers with seeding instructions.
