Clean Ride and Drive 2022
Bedford 2030 hosts the second annual Clean Ride & Drive Event! Free to join, register HERE, bring friends!
48% of the greenhouse gas emissions polluting our community come from the transportation sector. This event will showcase ways to reduce environmental impact from transportation, result in cleaner,healthier air, and ultimately advance our Town’s greenhouse gas reduction goals.
Join us for a day of fun as we:
- See the newest EV cars models ranging from the Chevy Bolt to the Tesla Model Y, the F-150 and the newly released Rivian pick up truck
- Step in an electric school bus and learn why they are healthier for our children
- Chat with local bike shop Hickory and Tweed, who will be on site and taking bike donations. They will make any necessary repairs and then donate the bikes to local organizations!
- Check out electric lawn equipment
- Enjoy delicious food and live music!
The Town of Bedford and Beford 20230 are excited to launch a gas powered lawn equipment buyback coupon program at the Clean Ride & Drive. Bring your gas powered equipment and turn it in in exchange for a $100 voucher to purchase electric equipment.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to advocate for clean transportation at the event through the New York League of Conservation Voters and 511 RideShare. Plan it Wild and Bedford Mowers will be on hand for attendees to learn about electric lawn equipment and the health and environmental benefits from transitioning to electricity at home.
Partners include: New York League of Conservation Voters, 511RideShare, BeeLine, Colonial Ford, Audi Hawthorne, The Premier Collection Volvo, Sierra Club, N&S Electric (home EV charger installer), Hickory and Tweed bike shop, Bedford Mowers and Plan it Wild.
The Bedford 2030 Clean Ride and Drive Expo is part of National Drive Electric Week, Presented by Plug-In America, Sierra Club and the Electric Vehicle Association.
