Bedford Vine Cutters return for invasive removal sessions starting on October 29th, 2022! This group will meet every other Saturday from 11am-1pm.
Why remove invasive vines?
Trees play an important role in climate adaptability and increasing biodiversity, and managing invasive species is essential in maintaining healthy trees. Invasive species are “non-native” species that threaten native biodiversity. Invasives can harm the environment, contributing to habitat degradation and loss. During these sessions, experts will instruct how to manage and remove invasive vines from trees and you will get to work!
This group will meet every other Saturday at a different location, and will not meet in the event of bad weather.
Location for each week’s session will be provided upon registration. Tools will be available, but if you have your own tools and gloves, please bring them. Dress for the weather and stay hydrated!
Participants younger than 18 years old will need parental or guardian approval. Forms available on request.
This initiative is co-Sponsored by the Town of Bedford, Bedford 2030, Healthy Yards and BRLA.
Registration is required.
Please RSVP to
sskolnik@bedfordny.gov to be notified of each session’s information and to join the Bedford Vine Cutters email list.
