Teams from five area high schools are tackling Climate Change challenges head on!
Over 40 student teams began work last October. After an initial round of proposals presented in December to over 40 field experts, half of the teams continued on, and are now getting ready to present their projects at the Greenlight Award ™ Finals on April 30, 2022.
These change-makers have spent the best part of a school year going from theoretical problem solving to actionable solutions. Projects range from greener transportation to conscious consumption to waste, recycling and environment. Teams are incorporating technological tools as well as grass-roots initiatives to raise awareness, educate, and facilitate behavior change for the betterment of their own communities, and ultimately the earth.
Students have engaged with mentors, advisors and key stakeholders to fine-tune their strategies. We commend their enthusiasm, dedication and perseverance, and we invite you to virtually join the Greenlight Award ™ Finals where a panel of judges will assess their ideas and the resulting (and future) impact of their actions. Cash prizes will be awarded for winning projects!
